Participation in 19th International Business Incubation Workshop organized by Shanghai JUKE Biotech Park
The guiding theme of the workshop was “The Share Opportunity & Co-development” in the context of international collaboration and “One Belt, One Road” initiative. The discussion forum of the above event includes i.e. exchange of the experiences and models of supports of new and innovative business & technology projects in early stage of their development, and opportunities for cooperation advancement in terms of innovation associated with the further development of “One Belt, One Road” initiative promoted by Chinese government.
This year’s IBI event has gathered together many of distinguish guests representing Chinese innovation ecosystem i.e. technology parks (JUKE Biotech, Shanghai Pudong Software Park, etc.), Business Incubators and Accelerators environment (XNode, I Cube and Shanghai Caohejing Hi-Tech Park), and also representatives of Torch High Tech Industry Development Center working Under the Ministry of Science and Technology. In addition there were also many foreign guests representing diplomatic offices such as General Consulates and Trade offices, and business inc. representatives of following countries Austria, Belgium, Malesia, Poland, South Africa, United States, Swiss and Uganda.
During this year’s IBI event the following topics were presented by the industry experts and discussed during the panels by the participants:

Chinese strategy for international cooperation in the field of Science and Technology,

The view at the “One Belt, One Road” from Chinese perspective;

Discussion on Chinese experiences in development of business incubators and centers of innovation;

Cooperation in the talent exchange programs;

And also, importance and added value of innovative and cutting edge technologies to countries’ economies.
As a part of this workshop many study tours were organized to present Shanghai’s startup and innovation ecosystem, during which makerspace, incubator, accelerator and technology park were visited. In addition to this event, representatives of Poland were invited to participate in Pujiang Innovation Forum , which is one of the biggest innovation focused event in Asia.
During 2016 workshops talks about the potential cooperation between Polish and Chinese technology parks were initialized. In addition one of polish delegates has prepared presentation about strengths of Polish Science & Technology, which was presented during one of the discussion forums.
